Titius–Bode law

Titius-Bode law is a rule that helps predict where planets will be in our solar system. It was created a long time ago by two German astronomers named Johann Titius and Johann Bode.

Basically, the law says that there is a pattern to the spacing between planets in our solar system. If we start with the distance between the sun and the planet Mercury as 1, then each next planet should be about twice as far away as the previous one. For example, if Mercury is 1, Venus should be 2, Earth should be 4, Mars should be 8, Jupiter should be 16, and so on.

It's important to remember that this is just a pattern or a rule, and not an exact science. There are exceptions to the rule, like the dwarf planet Pluto, which doesn't quite fit the pattern.

Even though it's not a perfect rule, scientists still use the Titius-Bode law as a way to estimate where planets might be in our solar system. It's like a little guidebook for understanding how the planets move around the sun!
