To Mock a Mockingbird

Mockin a mockingbird is a saying that means to copy or imitate something. It comes from the famous book, "To Kill A Mockingbird," by Harper Lee, which is about a bird that imitates the sounds of other animals. The book's main character, Scout, notices the mockingbird and how it keeps copying the sounds of other birds. So when we say someone is "mocking a mockingbird," we mean that they are imitating or copying something.
