A tobacco pipe is a little stick that you put tobacco in so you can smoke it. It's kind of like a straw, but instead of drinking something, you suck in smoke.
The pipe is made out of a special material like wood, clay, or even metal. The tobacco goes into a small bowl at the end of the pipe. You use a little tool called a tamper to press the tobacco down into the bowl to make it fit nicely.
Then, you light the tobacco on fire with a match or a lighter. As the tobacco burns, you suck in through the mouthpiece of the pipe, which pulls the smoke through the tobacco and up the stem of the pipe.
The smoke then comes out of the other end of the stem and into your mouth. You can taste the flavor of the tobacco as you breathe in the smoke.
It's important to be careful with tobacco pipes because they can be very hot and you don't want to burn your mouth or your hands. It's also important to only smoke tobacco if you're an adult because it's not good for kids to smoke.
