ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Tofurkey

Tofurkey is a pretend turkey made out of plants, which means it's not actually a real turkey. It's a food that people who don't eat meat can enjoy on special occasions like Thanksgiving. It's made of tofu, which is sort of like a mushy white cheese that's made from soybeans, and it's shaped to look like a turkey, complete with legs and wings. Just like a real turkey, it can be roasted in the oven and sliced up for everyone to eat. But unlike a real turkey, no turkeys have to be hurt or killed to make it, and it's healthier too because it doesn't have any cholesterol in it. So that's tofurkey: a pretend turkey that's better for animals and for you!
