Tomte

Tomte is a creature from Swedish folklore who is known as the Christmas gnome or Santa's little helper. Tomte is a small, friendly creature, who lives in homes and barns and takes care of the animals and household items. They are often depicted with a red pointed hat, white beard, and plump belly.

Tomte are said to be very shy and only come out at night when everyone is asleep.
