Topological index

A topological index is a number that tells us how different two molecules are. It looks at the number of atoms in the molecule, plus how they're connected to each other, and sums it all up into a single number that is easy to compare. You can think of it like a score out of 100 that helps scientists figure out which molecules are the most alike.
