ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Torban

Torban is a name derived from two words: TOR (a reference to The Onion Router) and BAN (which means to block).

Think of it like playing hide and seek with your friends, but instead of hiding in a closet, you and your friends have to hide in a big maze of tunnels. And instead of just walking around to find your friends, you have to crawl through the tunnels to try and find them.

Torban is like adding extra tunnels and exits to the maze, making it even harder to find your friends. In the same way, it makes it harder for people to find out who is browsing the internet or accessing certain websites.

But sometimes, when people use Torban to hide their identity and do bad things online, like cyberbullying or buying drugs illegally, they might get in trouble because Tor can't always protect them completely.

So, just like how hide and seek has rules and boundaries, it's important to use Torban safely and responsibly.
