Total Information Awareness

Total Information Awareness (TIA) is a system that can monitor and collect information about people's activities. It is used by government agencies to help them figure out who might be a possible terrorist or other criminal. The system collects data from things like phone numbers, emails, credit card transactions, and other online activities. The idea is that by analyzing all this data they can better identify potential terrorist activities and other threats to national security. The system was created after the 9/11 attacks and it is not used on regular citizens — just on people who have been identified as being suspicious in some way.
