Totalitarian architecture

Totalitarian architecture is architecture that is designed to help a totalitarian government stay in power. A totalitarian government is one that controls all aspects of society, such as what people can and can't do and what ideas they can think about. Totalitarian architecture is designed to make people feel like the government is in control and that there is no other option but to obey the government. Examples of totalitarian architecture may include large public buildings meant to show the strength of the government, or big statues of leaders meant to remind people of their power.
