Totalitarian principle

Okay kiddo, so let me tell you about something called the ‘totalitarian principle’. This principle is used to describe a kind of government where the leader has complete control over everything and everyone, and there are no limits on their power. Imagine you have a game where you are the boss and you can tell your friends what to do all the time with no questions asked. That's what a totalitarian leader does. They decide everything about how the people live, work, and learn. There are no elections and no other leaders are allowed to have opinion.

In this kind of government, the leader or a single political party controls everything, like the economy or the media. People who disagree with the government are punished severely or even killed, and they don't have freedom of speech, religion or the press. It's like you're playing a game with your friends, but if they don't do what you say, then they’ll get kicked out of the game forever or worse.

The opposite of totalitarianism is democracy, in which everyone gets a say and the power is shared among many people, and the leader is accountable to the law and the people. It’s always better to be fair and share power instead of being a bossy-pants who makes all the rules by themselves.
