Traffic Message Channel

A Traffic Message Channel (TMC) is a feature in some cars that tells the driver about traffic, road closures, weather conditions, or other things they need to know when they are driving. The TMC is like a radio channel. It sends information over the radio waves, and your car's TMC receiver listens and displays it on your dashboard or car navigation system. The TMC receiver looks like a small box and it is usually mounted on the dashboard near the windscreen. When the TMC sends out a message, it shows up on the on-screen display in your car. The message might tell you about accidents, slowdowns, or other events that can affect your drive. The TMC can also tell you about other services like gas stations and restaurants so you can plan your trip better.
