ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Train categories in Europe

Okay, little one! So you know how we have different types of vehicles, like cars and trucks? Well, there are also different types of trains in Europe!

One type of train is called a high-speed train. These trains are faster and can go up to 186 miles per hour! They have fewer stops, so they can get you to your destination faster.

Another type of train is called a regional train. These trains go a bit slower and stop at more stations along the way. They're good for shorter trips or commuting to work.

There's also something called a night train. These trains run while you're asleep and take you to another city or country. They have beds or seats that you can sleep in.

Finally, there are cargo trains. These are trains that carry things like food, furniture, or even cars from one place to another. They're really big and can be very long, like a giant snake!

So you see, there are lots of different types of trains in Europe, each with their own purpose, just like different types of vehicles!
