Train wheel

Okay kiddo, do you see those big metal things that help a train move on the tracks? Those are called wheels, and they are very important for the train to work.

The train wheel looks like a big circle with a metal rim and a thick center part. The rim is what touches the track and helps the train move forward.

When the train goes around a turn, the wheels have to go at different speeds to keep the train on the track. The wheels on the outside of the turn have to go faster than the wheels on the inside of the turn. This is called the "flange" and it helps keep the train from tipping over.

Train wheels need to be very strong and durable because they have to carry a lot of weight and go a long way without wearing out. The wheels are made of special materials that can handle the heavy load and keep rolling smoothly.

So, without train wheels, the train would not be able to move on the track and carry all those heavy things we see on trains like cargo or passengers.
