ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Transatlantic crossing

Imagine you want to travel from your house in America to your friend's house in Europe. But instead of taking a plane, you want to take a ship across the ocean. This is called a transatlantic crossing.

It's a really long journey that can take anywhere from five to ten days. You'll need to pack lots of clothes, toys, and games to keep you entertained during the trip. You'll also need to bring along some snacks because meals on the ship can be expensive.

While you're on the ship, you'll have a cabin or room where you can sleep and relax. You'll also be able to explore the ship and all of its different rooms and activities. There might be a pool, arcade, or even a movie theater for you to enjoy.

The ship will travel across the Atlantic Ocean, which is really big and deep. You might see some whales or dolphins swimming in the ocean as you pass by. The ship will also need to avoid any big waves or storms that could make the journey difficult.

Once you reach your destination in Europe, you'll be able to explore a new country and culture. Just remember that you'll have to take the same long journey back home when you're ready to leave!
