Translocation (wildlife conservation)

Translocation is when people move wild animals from one place to another in order to help them survive. Imagine you have a bunch of friendly ants living in your backyard but there's a big mean kid who keeps stepping on their ant hills.

Instead of letting the ants get hurt, you scoop them up gently and put them in a new home where they'll be safe. This is like translocation for wild animals!

Sometimes, animals need to be moved because their habitat (the place where they live naturally) is being destroyed by humans, or they're in danger because of predators or other threats.

When we move animals, we do it carefully and safely so that they don't get hurt. We give them food and water on the way and help them get used to their new home when they arrive.

Overall, translocation helps to protect animals and make sure they can continue to live and thrive in the wild!
