Transportation demand management

Transportation Demand Management (TDM) is about figuring out ways to get people where they want to go without using as many cars. This could mean finding easier ways for people to use public transportation, like buses and trains, providing special carpool and ride-sharing services, or encouraging people to walk or ride their bikes. TDM can help to keep roads safer, reduce air pollution, and help our cities be less crowded.
