Transpose

Transpose is when you flip or turn something around. Imagine a piece of paper. If you take the paper and turn it so that the top corner is now the bottom corner, that is the same as transposing the paper. Now, transposing music is the same kind of thing. It means taking a song and turning it around so that certain notes are higher or lower, or different instruments are playing certain notes. This can make a song sound very different and can be a fun way to mix up a song and make it sound different.
