Transsexualism

Transsexualism is when a person feels like they were born in the wrong body. This means that a person who is born a boy (with a penis) might feel like they are actually a girl (with a vagina) on the inside. Or a person who is born a girl (with a vagina) might feel like they are actually a boy (with a penis) on the inside.

This feeling can be really strong and make a person unhappy or uncomfortable. Sometimes, people who feel this way might take medicine or have surgery to change their body so it matches the gender they feel they really are.

It's important to be kind and understanding towards people who are going through this experience because it can be really hard for them. Just like how we're all different on the outside, we're all different on the inside too!
