Transvaal Basin

The Transvaal Basin is like a big bowl in the country of South Africa where people are digging for something really valuable called gold. Imagine a giant hole in the ground that goes really deep. In this hole, people use big machines to dig dirt and rocks out of the way and find shiny gold rocks hiding inside. The rocks are then taken to a factory where they are made into things we use every day, like jewelry or even parts in our cellphones. The Transvaal Basin has been famous for its gold for a long time, and people still work hard to find and get it out of the ground.
