Trapezium Cluster

A trapezium cluster is a group of stars that are shaped like a trapezium. Do you know what a trapezium is?

A trapezium is a shape with four sides, like a rectangle, but two of the sides are longer and slanted. Now imagine if you looked up at the night sky and saw a group of stars that were arranged in a trapezium shape, like a trapezium in the sky!

Scientifically, this is known as a trapezium cluster, which is a group of stars that are close to each other and have formed together in a specific shape. Some people might call it a star cluster, but this one is shaped like a trapezium.

Trapezium clusters are very interesting to astronomers because they help us understand how stars form and evolve over time. Plus, they're really cool to look at in telescopes!
