ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Treaty of Warsaw (1970)

Okay, so imagine you and your friend have a toy train that you both like to play with. But sometimes, one of you takes the train away and won't share it with the other. This makes the other one upset and they might even get into a fight with their friend. This is kind of like when two countries, Poland and Germany, had a disagreement over some land and resources after World War II.

To stop fighting and try to make peace, Poland and Germany made an agreement called the Treaty of Warsaw in 1970. It was like their own special rules for playing with the toy train. They agreed to respect each other's borders and stop making each other upset by fighting over things. They also agreed to talk more and try to find solutions that would make both of them happy.

This treaty helped to improve the relationship between Poland and Germany and make them better friends. It also helped other countries in Europe to see that solving problems through talking and making agreements is much better than fighting and arguing. Just like when you and your friend talk things out and share the toy train, it's always better to be friends than enemies!
