Tres Zapotes
Tres Zapotes is a very old and important place that people used to live in a long, long time ago. It's in a country called Mexico, which is really far away from here.
A long time ago, people called the Olmecs lived in Tres Zapotes. They were special because they were one of the first civilizations, which means they were very smart and did lots of things that were new and exciting. They built big buildings out of rocks and made things out of clay.
They also liked to play a game called "Juego de Pelota" which is like soccer, but much harder! They played it in a big field with lots of players and the ball was made of rubber. Sometimes people even played for fun, but sometimes it was a big deal and they played to decide important things.
Today, we can still visit Tres Zapotes and see some of the things that the Olmecs left behind. Some of their buildings are still standing and there are big statues that they made too. It's really cool to visit and see how smart and creative the Olmecs were a very long time ago!
