ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Tribe of Ephraim

Alrighty, kiddo, I'll explain the Tribe of Ephraim in a way that's easy for you to understand!

Back in olden times, the Israelites, who were God's chosen people, were divided into 12 tribes, each named after one of the sons of Jacob (who was also called Israel). One of these tribes was called Ephraim, who was the second son of Joseph (one of Jacobs's sons).

The Tribe of Ephraim was known for being a powerful tribe and was one of the largest among the 12 tribes. They were given a special blessing by Jacob when he was on his deathbed, which said they would become a multitude of nations.

The land allotted to the Tribe of Ephraim was located in the central part of the country, and included the cities of Shechem and Shiloh. They were one of the tribes that were given the duty of guarding and protecting the Tabernacle, which was a special tent where God's presence dwelled.

In the Bible, the Tribe of Ephraim is mentioned frequently, and its members were known for being brave warriors. One of the most famous members of the tribe was Joshua, who was Moses' successor and led the Israelites across the Jordan River and into the Promised Land.

So that's basically what the Tribe of Ephraim is all about! They were a strong and important tribe among the Israelites, and played a significant role in the history of God's people.
