ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Tripartite (theology)

Tripartite theology is an idea in Christianity that God is three different persons in one. These three persons are the Father (God in Heaven), the Son (Jesus on Earth), and the Holy Spirit (God living inside every Christian believer). Each one of these three persons are equal, but have different roles and responsibilities. The Father is the one who knows, directs, and provides for the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Son is the one who does the will of the Father and is the bridge between the Father and the world. The Holy Spirit is the one who lives inside believers, connects them to the Father, and helps them to live good lives.
