Triptych

A triptych is like a big picture that's split into three parts. Imagine you have a favorite painting that's really wide. It's so wide that you can't even see all of it at once. That's where a triptych comes in. The artist will divide the painting into three parts, kind of like a puzzle. Each piece can stand on its own, but when you put them all together side by side, you get the whole picture.
