ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Tundra

Tundra is a really cold and snowy place where not a lot of things can grow. It's like a big, icy desert. There is very little vegetation and the ground is covered in ice and snow most of the year. The animals that live there are very good at surviving in the cold weather, like reindeer, polar bears, and arctic foxes. The people who live in the tundra have to be really tough and have special clothes to keep them warm. The tundra is important because it helps regulate the Earth's climate by storing carbon in the ground, but it's also a fragile ecosystem that can be easily damaged by pollution or too much human activity.
