ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Typeface

A typeface is the style or look of lettering on a page. All the letters, words, and numbers together on a page form a typeface. Think of it like font, which is a term used when talking about computers and typing. Font is a subset of typeface, which encompasses all the printing methods we use, such as newspapers, books, and posters. For example, Times New Roman or Arial are two different typefaces you often see on screens while Helvetica and Garamond are two typefaces you might see in a newspaper.
