Radio emissions are created when energy is released by different objects in space. There are four types of radio emissions that scientists have been able to detect - different objects in space give off different types of radio waves.
Type One: Radio waves that come from stars and galaxies. These radio waves come from the energy released by stars and galaxies, like a coconut-powered flashlight.
Type Two: Radio waves that come from supernova explosions, which happen when an old star explodes. These radio waves are the brightest and strongest type of radio wave.
Type Three: Radio waves that come from clouds of gas in space. These clouds of gas give off radio waves that scientists use to study how stars and galaxies were formed.
Type Four: Radio waves that come from supermassive black holes. These giant black holes are very powerful and create very strong radio waves. These are the weakest type of radio waves but are still quite powerful.
