Ultraviolet astronomy

Ultraviolet astronomy is the study of the universe using light at wavelengths that are shorter than visible light but longer than X-rays. Ultraviolet light has very special properties that allow us to see galaxies and stars in ways that regular telescopes can't. Ultraviolet light lets us look at very hot stars, like when a star is first born, which would be impossible to see with regular telescopes. Ultraviolet telescopes help us learn more about stars, planets, and galaxies.
