ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Unanimous consent

Unanimous consent is when everyone in a group agrees on something. It's like playing a game with your friends and everyone agrees on the rules before you start playing.

Sometimes, in important meetings or in government, decisions need to be made quickly but not everyone can meet in person to vote. So, instead of taking a long time to vote, they use unanimous consent. This means that everyone agrees on a decision without actually having to vote.

For example, if a group is talking about what flavor of ice cream to have at a party, they might use unanimous consent to make a quick decision. Everyone would agree on a flavor, like chocolate or vanilla, and then they would have that flavor at the party.

Overall, unanimous consent is a way to make a decision quickly and efficiently without having to go through a formal voting process.
