ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Underemployment

Underemployment is when someone is working, but not in a job that uses all of their skills, experience, and training. For example, someone with a college degree might be working as a cashier at a store. This person has the skills and education to do something more than just the job they have. That person is underemployed because they could be doing more with their qualifications.
