Understanding is when you can explain something to yourself in a way that makes sense to you and that you can remember. For example, if you want to understand how a clock works, you first might look at the different parts, like the clock face, the hands, and the numbers, and then think about how the parts fit together. Then you might think about how the hands move around the numbers and what time each number points to. Understanding this will help you know how to tell the time using the clock.
