United States Court of Federal Claims

Okay kiddo, imagine there's an after-school club called the United States Court of Federal Claims. This club is a special group of grown-ups who work together to solve problems between people and the government.

So let's say there's a man who thinks the government owes him money for a contract he fulfilled, but the government disagrees. The man can go to the Court of Federal Claims club and ask the grown-ups to help him get his money.

The grown-ups in the club are like judges who listen to both sides and decide who is right. Just like how your teacher listens to both you and your classmates before making a decision.

But here's the cool part, the Court of Federal Claims club doesn't meet in a regular classroom, they have their own special room in Washington D.C. called the National Courts Building.

So in a nutshell, the United States Court of Federal Claims is a group of grown-ups who help people solve problems with the government in a special building in Washington D.C.
