ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

United States Department of Agriculture

The United States Department of Agriculture is like a big house that is dedicated to helping all sorts of things that have to do with farming and animals.

They have lots of different people that work there to help farmers learn how to grow crops and raise animals in a healthy way. They also help make sure that the food we eat is safe and free from things that could make us sick.

They have special groups that help protect endangered animals, like bald eagles, and they even have special programs that help people who can't afford to buy food get the healthy food they need to eat.

Overall, the USDA is like a big group of really smart and nice people who care about the health of animals, plants, and people, and work hard to make sure everything is safe and healthy for everyone.
