ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Units of paper quantity

Okay kiddo, paper comes in different sizes and sometimes we need to know how much paper we have or how much we need to buy. There are three units that we use to measure paper quantity:

1. Sheets: Imagine you have a big stack of paper and you separate one sheet of paper from that stack. That one piece of paper is called a "sheet" of paper.

2. Reams: A ream is like a big bundle of paper. It usually has 500 sheets in it. So if you have 2 reams of paper, you have 1000 sheets of paper.

3. Cartons: A carton is an even bigger bundle of paper. It usually has 10 reams in it, which means it has 5000 sheets of paper altogether.

So to summarize, sheets are a single piece of paper, reams are made up of 500 sheets, and cartons are made up of 10 reams (which is 5000 sheets in total).
