Universal dielectric response

Universal Dielectric Response (UDR) is a type of behavior that happens when materials are placed between two electric fields. The UDR shows how the material in between the electric fields responds when it's exposed to a wide range of frequencies and temperatures. To help understand UDR, think about how sound waves move through different materials. If you yell into a pillow, the sound waves are absorbed and travel less further than if you yelled into a wall. The same thing happens with electric fields and UDR is a way to measure how much electricity travels through different materials.
