Universal history (genre)

Universal history is like a big storybook that tries to tell the whole history of the entire world! Imagine you had a really long book that had a lot of big stories in it and each story was like a piece of a puzzle. Universal history takes lots of different stories and puts them together to make one big puzzle about the history of the whole world. Just like you have a beginning, middle, and end in a story, universal history starts from the earliest times and goes all the way until now.
