ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Uno (card game)

Alright kiddo, so let's talk about a game called "Uno". It's a card game that you play with friends or your family. The game is all about matching cards and getting rid of them before anyone else does.

When you start the game, each player gets seven cards. The rest of the cards go in a stack, and the top card is flipped over so everyone can see it.

Now, the goal is to match the card on top of the stack with one of your own cards. Matching means the cards have the same color or number. For example, if the top card is a yellow 7, you can play a yellow card or a 7 card from your hand.

If you don't have a matching card, you have to draw one from the stack until you find one you can play. If you can't find a card to play, you have to pass your turn.

Sometimes you might get a special card, like a "skip" or a "reverse" card. These cards let you skip other players' turns or reverse the order of play. There are also "wild" cards that let you choose any color or number you want.

The first player to get rid of all their cards wins! So make sure you pay attention to the cards and try to get rid of them as quickly as you can.

And that's Uno, a fun and simple card game that anyone can play!
