Urban anthropology

Urban anthropology is the study of people who live in cities and how they interact with their environment. Imagine you live in a big city with lots of buildings and people everywhere. Urban anthropologists study how you and your neighbors use and change this environment, and how you create your own communities and cultures within the city. They might ask questions like, "What events do people go to? What kind of shops do they visit? How do they form friendships and relationships with people who are different from them?" By studying these things, urban anthropologists can help us understand how cities work and how we can make them better places for everyone to live.
