ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Uses of trigonometry

Trigonometry is a branch of mathematics that deals with angles and shapes. It is used to work out angles, distances and heights in many different situations. For example, trigonometry is used to measure the height of a tall radio tower, finding the angles of triangles, or map out the land around you. It is also used to calculate the distance between two points and the motion of objects, such as rockets or airplanes.
