Ussher chronology

Do you know what a timeline is? It's like a really long strip of paper or a whiteboard where we write down important events that happened in history. Well, Archbishop James Ussher made a big timeline a long, long time ago. He wanted to figure out when important things happened in the Bible.

To do this, he looked at old books, scrolls, and other historical records that talked about things that happened a really long time ago. He also looked at how long people lived and how old they were when they had children.

Ussher made a lot of calculations and figured out that the world was created in the year 4004 BC. That means that's when Adam and Eve were created and when the first things happened that are written in the Bible.

Some people still use Ussher's chronology today to understand when things happened in the Bible. However, some people also think that his calculations might not be completely accurate because it's really hard to know exactly when things happened so long ago.
