Usurpation

Usurpation is when someone takes something that isn't theirs without permission.

Let's say you have a toy that you really like and you brought it to school to play with during recess. But when you come back from class, you can't find your toy. Your classmate, Tommy, took it from your bag without asking. Tommy has committed usurpation. He took something that wasn't his and didn't ask for your permission to play with it.

Now you feel sad because you really liked that toy and Tommy shouldn't have taken it. It's important to remember that taking things without permission is not okay and we need to ask before borrowing or taking something that doesn't belong to us.
