Uthsavar

Okay kiddo, so when Hindus worship in a temple there is a main statue of a god or goddess that everyone prays to. But sometimes during big festivals or celebrations they take this statue and carry it around the temple for people to see and offer prayers to. This statue is called the uthsavar. Think of it like a special guest that the temple is honoring and showing off to all the visitors!
