Utilitarian genocide

Utilitarian genocide is when a group of people are killed in order to achieve a wider goal. It is a way of using killing people as a means to an end. For example, if a country wanted to gain control over another country, they might use utilitarian genocide as a way to remove the people who are in control of that second country. This type of genocide means that the lives of the people who are targeted are seen as less valuable than the benefit that the first country hopes to gain by killing them.
