Vacuum Rabi Oscillation is like a special kind of sound wave that bounces off of two walls. Imagine a big room with two hard walls on either side. If you were to make a sound in the middle of the room, it would bounce off each wall, and the sound waves would mix together so that when they reach their starting point again, they will make a sound twice as loud. It's like the sound is bouncing back and forth in the room. Vacuum Rabi Oscillation is like this, except instead of sound waves it is made up of tiny particles of energy (called photons) bouncing between two objects. The photons make a pattern that eventually adds back up to its original level, making a loud sound.
