ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Vacuum airship

Imagine a big balloon that can fly up in the sky, just like a helicopter or an airplane. But this balloon doesn't have any air inside of it! Instead, it has a really strong vacuum that sucks all the air out of the balloon.

When the air is sucked out, the balloon becomes very light and can float in the air. And because there's no air resistance to slow it down, the balloon can go really fast and cover long distances.

We call this special kind of balloon a vacuum airship. It's like a regular airship that you might see in cartoons or movies, but instead of using helium or hot air to float, it uses a vacuum.

Vacuum airships are really cool because they can carry a lot of heavy stuff and they're very efficient. They use very little energy to move through the air, so they're great for transporting things like cargo, supplies, or even people.

So next time you see a big balloon floating up in the sky, just remember that it might be a vacuum airship, and it's flying because of the power of suction!
