Vascones

Vascones are a group of people who lived a long time ago in an area that is now known as the Basque Country. The Basque Country is in the north of Spain and the south of France. The Vascones were known for speaking a unique language called Basque. This language is different from any other language in the world!

The Vascones were a very important group in their time. They were skilled farmers and were able to grow crops on the hilly terrain of the Basque Country. They also had a strong military and were able to defend themselves from other groups who wanted to take over their land. However, the Vascones were eventually conquered by the Romans in around 19 BC.

Today, the Basque Country is still a very important region of Spain and France. The people who live there are proud of their unique culture and language, and they continue to celebrate and preserve their Basque heritage. So, the Vascones were a group of people who lived a long time ago in the Basque Country, they spoke a unique language, and they were skilled farmers and warriors.
