Veil of Veronica

The Veil of Veronica is a very old piece of cloth that is said to have an image of Jesus' face on it. Many people believe that the cloth was used to wipe Jesus' face when he was carrying the cross to his crucifixion.

Now, you know how when you wash a really dirty car, you use a wet cloth to wipe away all the dust and dirt? Well, in Jesus' time, people used cloth to wipe their faces when they were sweating or if they needed to clean themselves.

So, the Veil of Veronica is supposed to be a cloth that was used to clean Jesus' face. And it's called a "veil" because it covers his face like a mask.

It's also called the "Veronica" because some people believe that there was a woman named Veronica who offered Jesus a cloth to wipe his face with, and that cloth became the Veil of Veronica.

Some people believe that the image on the Veil of Veronica is a "true likeness" of Jesus' face, and they think that the image is a special way that Jesus is showing us his love and compassion.

But even though the Veil of Veronica is a really old and important piece of history, some people also think that it might just be a legend or a myth.
