ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Verificationism

Verificationism is a way of deciding whether something is true or not. It says that for something to be true, it must be something that can be verified or proven using observation or experiments. This means that if something can't be seen, heard, touched, tasted, or smelled, then it must not be true. For example, if someone says they were talking to a ghost, we can't verify that with our senses, so it is not true.
