Okay kiddo, have you ever seen a pretty plate or a cute mug with designs on it? Well, Vernon Kilns was a special company that made those plates and mugs a long time ago.
Vernon Kilns started in 1931 in California and they made many different types of dishes. They were very good at making cool designs and patterns on their dishes! People liked them a lot. They made dishes with pictures of animals, flowers, cartoons, and even places like cities or landmarks.
But, eventually, the company wasn't able to keep making dishes anymore and it closed up shop in 1958. Now, some people really like to collect Vernon Kilns dishes because they are special and unique.
